Soil and Soul: Gardening as a Jewish and Zionist Spiritual Experience

Soil and Soul: Gardening as a Jewish and Zionist Spiritual Experience Sunday, April 28 from 10-11:30AM

Nurture your garden, nurture your soul. When we plant a garden, we participate in a chain of traditions stretching back to the earliest stories of the Torah. Join Lev Metz, Pima County Master Gardener and Tucson Hebrew Academy faculty member, as she guides you through the Jewish and Zionist rituals of planting, growing, and harvesting food. These sessions will be split into two parts; the first spent learning through discussion, and the second spent reconnecting to the earth and tapping into sacred spirituality through hands-on planting in our Shay Shay Community Garden.
