Pickleball Pros
Amanda Reller
IPTPA Certified Instructor, built a flourishing pickleball program in Tucson before joining the JCC family. Having played softball during college and beyond, she loves applying students’ past sports experience to their pickleball game. A product of the Midwest, Amanda is happy to now live in a place where she can play and teach outside year-round. She is honored to help instill the joy of racquet sports as a lifelong pursuit here at the J.
Per Schwarzenberger
Per (pronounced "Pear") was born and raised in Sweden. After attending the University of Physical Education in Stockholm he worked as a P.E. and English teacher and lived many places in Europe and the US. In 2019 he decided to move to Tucson. Per loves to play and teach pickleball. He started playing at the J a few years ago and today he is an avid player who spends much of his time on pickleball courts around town. Per plays competitive pickleball and has multiple wins in both mixed and doubles tournaments. In 2022, he became a certified pickleball instructor (PCI), and is certified with the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR). Per's teaching style is to teach to the student's needs above all else. He wants his lessons to be fun, informative, and to leave the student enjoying the game of pickleball and wanting to come back again for another lesson.
