Pickleball Pros

Stacy Vogwell
Stacy was first introduced to tennis as a toddler in NY. She trained and played until age 17, her final years training at the US Open tennis facilities in Flushing Meadows, Queens. She holds a degree in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology, and worked as a photographer and producer until 2018, when she started coaching tennis in Portland Oregon for the USTA. Shortly after, Stacy became a USPTA Certified Professional Tennis Instructor, and worked in various schools and tennis facilities around Portland. In 2020, she moved with her family to Tucson and has been active teaching, coaching, directing tournaments and coordinating leagues. She thoroughly enjoys coaching all levels of players, focusing on footwork, technique, and strategy - all while having as much fun as possible! She loves her dogs and enjoys cooking and playing billiards.

Per Schwarzenberger
Per (pronounced "Pear") was born and raised in Sweden. After attending the University of Physical Education in Stockholm he worked as a P.E. and English teacher and lived many places in Europe and the US. In 2019 he decided to move to Tucson. Per loves to play and teach pickleball. He started playing at the J a few years ago and today he is an avid player who spends much of his time on pickleball courts around town. Per plays competitive pickleball and has multiple wins in both mixed and doubles tournaments. In 2022, he became a certified pickleball instructor (PCI), and is certified with the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR). Per's teaching style is to teach to the student's needs above all else. He wants his lessons to be fun, informative, and to leave the student enjoying the game of pickleball and wanting to come back again for another lesson.
