In the News: 2025 JCC Maccabi and Access

From July 27 through August 1, the Tucson J hosted the 2025 JCC Maccabi Games and Access, the world’s largest Jewish youth sporting event, gathering hundreds of Jewish teen athletes from around the globe, and generating over $4 million in economic impact for metropolitan Tucson.


During the exciting week of athletics, community service, and friendship, local news agencies from around Tucson highlighted meaningful aspects of the Games, including Access athletes, Opening Ceremonies, the host family experience, and so much more!

Beyond Sports at the Maccabi Games: JCC Cares and Star Reporters

Each year, JCC Maccabi athletes participate in JCC Cares service projects. This year, the Games partnered with Ben’s Bells and Youth On Their Own, two Tucson non-profits. Teens can also participate in the Games another way– as a “Star Reporter,” interviewing athletes and covering the competition.
