Argentine Tango is a partnership dance that originated in the dance halls of Buenos Aires in the 1930’s and 40’s. It is completely different from ballroom Tango in it’s style and steps, and has an emphasis on connection between partners and improvisation. Tango can be danced by anyone who can walk, and has been shown to have multiple health benefits: Cardiovascular benefits without high impact strain on the knees, tango also helps improve balance, stride length, and core strength, as well as lift your mood.
