Send a kid to Summer Camp J!

Liam Keith, age 10, tells us “I love camp because of the pool and the field trips. My first day of camp I was super scared, but I liked my counselors a lot. When asked if he made friends at camp, he says, “Yes, I made friends in camp. Keaton and I are really good friends. He taught me how to get better at archery and I taught him how to swim better.” When we asked Liam about what he learned at camp, he responds, “In my second year of camp I did robotics and I learned a lot of multiplication. When I went back to school they put me in extended math, and I still am in extended math…I still have the robot I made, too.” When asked what advice he would give to kids who are new to camp, he said, very wisely, “It’s kind of scary at first, but if you just be yourself and talk to people, it will be very easy.”

Prom-o-rama is based off of the idea of Cinderella's fairy godmother making her dream to attend the ball come true. The J is excited to partner with Cinderella's Closet, which was created to do just that - provide dresses and accessories to enable girls to attend their high school proms. It’s also a way to recycle these lightly used items.

Bring dresses in any size to The J before March 30th to help make a girl’s dream come true!

Please make sure dresses are current with what a high school girl would wear and make sure items are clean.
