Second Sunday: Common Threads, Presented by Fiber Artists of Southern Arizona
The Second Sunday of each month, August – April, serves as an opening for each show in our 2022-2023 Fine Art Gallery Season. This is a time to stop by the gallery and peruse the art, chat with the artist or listen in on an artist talk, enjoy a refreshment and be in the company of other art appreciators in our community. Second Sundays events are FREE and open to the public on the following dates from 2-3:30pm in the J’s Fine Art Gallery.
FASA—Fiber Artists of Southern Arizona—is a group of established artists committed to creating and promoting textile and fiber art.
Located in Tucson, Arizona, we explore many contemporary themes in our work and employ a variety of techniques: piecing, applique, collage, pleating, weaving, hand and machine stitching. Surface design techniques include hand dyeing, rust dyeing, dye discharge, painting, printing, image transfer and photography. Embellishment techniques include beading, thread painting, stamping, foiling, felting, and mixed media.
