An Introduction to Mussar: A Weekly Opportunity for Reflection, Jewish Learning and Personal Growth
Mussar is a Jewish spiritual practice that offers guidance on how to live a meaningful and ethical life. Join Rabbi Samuel M. Cohon, Congregation Beit Simcha and host of The Too Jewish Radio Show and Jennifer Selco, MAEd, MBA, Tucson J Director of Jewish Life and Learning, for an 7-week course during which participants will explore a middah (characteristic or trait) in-depth each week. Each class meeting will include a brief overview of a middah, followed by chevruta (partner or small group) learning. Participants are highly encouraged to read a particular chapter of Everyday Holiness: The Jewish Spiritual Path of Mussar by Alan Morinis in preparation for each week.
This offering takes place in-person at the Tucson or online via Zoom.
