August 20 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Making Art Accessible: The Work of Arts for All – Opening Ceremony | Sunday, August 20, 2pm – 3:30pm

Each month, August – May, there will be an opening reception for each show in our 2023-2024 Fine Art Gallery Season. This is a time to stop by the gallery and peruse the art, chat with the artists or listen in on an artist talk, enjoy a refreshment and be in the company of other art appreciators in our community. The art reception is FREE and open to the public on Sunday, August 20 from 2pm – 3:30pm.

Making Art Accessible with Arts for All: Art made by Arts for All participants past and present with a variety of mediums represented including: watercolor, acrylic on canvas, marker, colored pencil, ceramic pieces, and pencil drawings.

More about Arts for All: Arts for All is a leader in providing accessible arts education in Tucson. The mission is to build confidence and promote self-esteem by providing creative experiences to adults with physical and cognitive disabilities who might not otherwise have access to art. The Arts for All Exhibition will focus on art-making using traditional methods as well as using Laser Art Technique, or LAT, a method devised for mobility. By using a laser, mounted on custom headgear, the artist can direct their artistic creations through the laser onto a tracker. A tracker will act as the artist’s hands and can stand by the canvas and paint what the artist directs.
