February Monthly Mitzvah: Mishloach Manot Pack

Mishloach Manot Pack: Collection Drive February 1-20 and Pack Assembly Friday, February 24 from 9am-5pm
On the holiday of Purim, it is customary to give mishloach manot (Hebrew for “sending portions”) containing food to family, friends, and community members, to help them celebrate the holiday. We invite the Jewish community of Southern Arizona to participate in this year’s Mishloach Manot Pack. We are looking to build and deliver 200 manot. Local Jewish youth groups will distribute the gifts to residents of Handmaker Jewish Services for the Aging and other organizations and individuals in the community.
TWO WAYS TO PARTICIPATE!
1. Donate to the collection drive. The collection drive
will take place between February 1st – February 20th.
Drop off all items at the Tucson J.
We are collecting the following items:
• Dum Dum Lollipops
• Individual serving kosher grape juice
• Kosher chocolates
• Chapstick, lotion, and other small non-edible items
• Purim masks
• Noise makers
• Puzzle books – small/mini sized crosswords, word searches, Sudoku, coloring

2. Help assemble the gifts. Drop in on February 24th
any time from 9am – 5pm in the front lobby of the
Tucson J to help pack the mishloach manot.
