*Support refugees from Afghanistan who escaped when it fell to the Taliban and are rebuilding their lives here. Many of them worked alongside US troops and NGO’s and their lives and those of their families were in grave danger. Through the SASIC program, JFCS is building wellness and healing through men’s and women’s groups and children’s programming integrating art as a way to deal with trauma and foster independence through cultural showcases (next one in February) where they will have the opportunity to sell some of their art.
