Day of Chesed
Join us Monday, January 16, for Day of Chesed, a community-wide day of service and kindness in honor of MLK Jr. Day. With a variety of ways to participate both at the Tucson J and in the community, everyone can get involved and work together to make an impact for our neighbors here in Tucson.
All are welcome. There is no cost to participate. Registration is requested.

AT THE TUCSON J:
*American Red Cross Blood Drive* | 8am-1pm
The bloodmoblie will be in the J parking lot from 8am-1pm. We suggest reserving your time slot in advance, but walk-ups are welcome.
*Sandwich Making* | 1-3pm
Help us make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that we will be donating to those in need. This project is open to everyone.
*PJ Library Story Time and Rock Painting* | 1-3pm
Families are invited to join us to hear a story about Chesed and Tikkun Olam. Afterwards we will paint rocks to donate to Peppi’s House and Rocks of Positivity to help spread joy in our community.
*ICS Hygiene Kit Packing Project* | 1-3pm
Help us pack 500 hygiene kits to be donated to the ICS mobile food bank. We will be joined by Jay Deskins, ICS Faith and Outreach Director.
IN THE COMMUNITY:
*Handmaker Jewish Services for Aging* | 1-3pm
Handmaker is looking for volunteers to help clean up their library. Volunteers must be 18 or older and wear a mask when inside of Handmaker.
