Exile and Redemption: Artistic Explorations of an Ancient Jewish Play, Exagoge

Aaron is the Artistic Director of theater dybbuk, an arts and education organization whose work illuminates universal human experience from a Jewish perspective. Aaron’s keynote will be focused on: How can Jewish history serve as an entry point to engage in complex conversations about contemporary issues in our world? How do theatre, storytelling, and other artistic endeavors serve to help Jewish communities create new opportunities for connection? He will discuss the ways in which Jewish texts, experiences, and perspectives can function as the basis for deep investigation of the social and political forces in societies. In addition, he will illuminate the creative techniques and processes which encourage meaningful participation.
