A Celebration of Sculpture 2023 | Sunday, October 22, 12 – 3pm
Join us Sunday, October 23 from noon-3pm in the Jill Rosenzweig Memorial Sculpture Garden. The free, all-ages annual showcase features a juried outdoor exhibition with eight new sculptures joining the Sculpture Garden’s existing collection of over 50 works by local, national and international sculptors. Indoors, the Fine Art Gallery will showcase more than 20 sculptures from local artists. The event also features artist talks and live music, art demonstrations (including an ice sculpting demonstration), a variety of interactive, creative activities, and delicious kosher pizza for sale from the Kosher Pizza Truck.
Jurors Jane Hamilton, Karon Leigh, and James Schaub selected the works for the outdoor juried exhibition, which includes sculptures by Pamela Ambrosio, Sutton Betti, Stephen Grater, Harold Grinspoon, Sharon Holnback, Gedion Nyanhongo, and Tony von Isser. Artists exhibiting in the Fine Art Gallery show, titled SCULPT! include: Linda Ahearn, Pamela Ambrosio, Carlton Bradford, Curt Brill, Mel Caines, Ricardo Flores-Ortiz, Robyn Fowler, Steve Grater, Candace Greenburg, Mark Hamilton, Jerry Harris, Carole Higera-Fisher, Phyllis Lapin, Steve Nance, Ray Parish, Alexandra Queen, Lauren Raine, Andree Richmond, Gerald Rockwell, Gary Rubin, Dee Ruff, Ellen Sidor, Wayne Sumstine, Diane C. The three-hour event features live music indoors and outdoors by pianist Sarah Tolar and Stu Mellan’s Birks Works Jazz Quartet
