Gan Tikvah: Our Meditative Garden of Hope

Lady Bird Johnson said it so well: “Where there are flowers, there is hope.”  The Garden of Hope (Gan Tikvah in Hebrew), finished in 2019, is a place for the entire Tucson community to find the strength to endure difficult experiences. The Garden promotes holistic wellness through creating a peaceful, colorful, and meditative outdoor environment while simultaneously celebrating the arts.

Garden of Hope at the Tucson JCC

The Garden of Hope was designed by Tucson artist Barbara Grygutis and its completion was overseen by longtime Tucson J community member Randy Emerson. With a half dozen beautiful sculptures and a fluid connection to our Sculpture Garden, the Garden is a celebration of the arts and the importance that they play in our collective spiritual and emotional wellbeing.

The Garden of Hope is available for events. This beautiful space transforms any event into something special. We also host classes and programs in the Garden.

We are accepting ongoing gifts in support of Gan Tikvah. Your gift helps us sustain this contemplative oasis as a place where our community can find the healing they need.
