Infant/Toddler Education

We welcome infants as young as six weeks and are one of the few programs in Tucson to do so. We reference the Arizona Infant and Toddler Guidelines, recognizing that young children need enriching experiences.

All infants and toddlers participate in developmentally appropriate health and fitness through our discoverCATCH program. They also experience art, fitness, and daily buggy rides throughout The J. Other enriching programs include our Jewish Culture through music where infants and toddlers participate in singing, dancing, and stories.

Infant Care & Education

Infant/Toddler Education

Infants and their families find a “home away from home” in our infant rooms with dedicated staff. Not only does the staff nurture and meet the needs of your child, they are well-aware of the amazing learning that is happening as your child’s young brain develops. Teachers use moments of care and play to share language, encourage self-regulating behaviors, and build new skills.

Toddler Care & Education

Children between 12 and 24 months join our toddler program and enjoy increased activities and independence. Children anticipate activities and draw comfort from routine. In addition, they are treated to increased participation in the greater ECE with a more focused program of specialists – music, cooking, and fitness. During the summer, our older toddlers enjoy beginning swimming lessons to gain comfort with the water.

Cycle for Good is back! Join Laura Swenson and music with DJ Thoolan for a special 2 hour Spin ride to benefit The J Taglit Program.

Spinning wheels will complement spinning dreidels as the fourth annual Movement-wide stationary bike event called Cycle for Good takes off on Sunday, December 22, 2019. Thanks to staggered start times, many participants in Cycle for Good will ride indoor bikes at the same time in Jewish Community Centers across North America. Each JCC will ride and raise money for a charity of their choice.

Reserve your bike now for 8am, 9am or both for a suggested donation of $18!
