The current show Reflection + Renewal will be up until November 2, 2019. The show features the works of more than 20 local artists, many of whom are members of the Jewish Artists Group, in the Fine Art Gallery show, “Reflection + Renewal,” which is on display through Nov. 2.
The Jewish High Holy Days season began with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, and ends with the holiday of Simchat Torah. The holidays are an opportunity for reflection, renewal, and returning to our best selves. While these holy days are celebrated by Jews around the world, the ideas of reflection and renewal are universal. Each of us must take the time to reflect and renew, says Jennifer Selco, director of Jewish Life & Learning at the Tucson J. The hope is that as people walk through the show, they will consider what reflection and renewal means to them.
The show includes paintings, glasswork, sculpture, pottery, and mixed media pieces. Most of the artwork is for sale. There will be a gallery opening on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5:30-7 p.m., and the gallery is open any time the J is open.
